By subscribing, you will instruct Majordomo to add your name to the list users. Majordomo will then begin forwarding all new posts to the list on to you. To subscribe, send an email to majordomo@cuy.net with the words subscribe beer in the body. To try it now send email to majordomo@cuy.net. Make sure to put subscribe beer in the body, not the subject.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe, or instruct Majordomo to stop sending email to you, send an email to majordomo@cuy.net with the words unsubscribe beer in the body.

Using The Beer Mailing List

Sending an email to beer@cuy.net will cause that same message to be sent to all the lists users, including yourself. It's that simple. Note that you may not begin receiving mail right away, as you will start getting posts to the list that occur after you subscribe. When you do subscribe, send a hello message to beer@cuy.net and let us know another fellow brewer has arrived.

The Digest Version

Also available is a "digest" version of the mailing list. Instead of receiving each individual message posted to the list, you can get all messages posted during the previous day in one large email. Some users find this more convienent. To use this opt ion, just subscribe to beer-digest instead of beer.

Getting Help

Sending an email to majordomo@cuy.net with the words help in the body will return a users guide to Majordomo, and a nice command summary.
