Hey! I got a forward of this recipe from a woman in Texas who had been charged $250 by Neiman_Marcus for the recipe. (Recipe may be halved): > > 2 cups butter > > 4 cups flour > > 2 tsp. ~Watkins Caramel Walnut Apple Pie~ A double crusted apple pie with a thin layer of caramel over the apples. Ingredients: 1 double crust deep dish unbaked pie shell 3/4 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon Watkins Vanilla 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon Watkins cinnamon 6 cups thinly sliced apples 1/2 cup caramel topping 1/4 cup chopped Walnuts 1 (16 ounce) container whipped dessert topping (optional) Directions: 1 Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). 2 Stir together the sugar,vanilla,cornstarch and cinnamon. Toss with the apples in a mixing bowl. 3 Pour the mixture into the first unbaked pie shell then drizzle the caramel topping over the top. Sprinkle with Walnuts. Place the second pie shell over this and flute the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape then place on preheated cookie sheet. 4 Bake 45-50 minutes, until golden brown. Watkins Chocolate Walnut Vanilla Rum Cake Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups sugar 1 cup margarine 4 tablespoons Watkins cocoa 1 cup cold water 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon Watkins vanilla extract 1 teaspoon Watkins ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon Watkins ground sea salt 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 eggs frosting ingredients: 1/2 cup margarine 5 tablespoons evaporated milk 1 cup walnuts, chopped 4 tablespoons Watkins cocoa 1 teaspoon Watkins vanilla extract 1 teaspoon Watkins rum extract 1 pound powdered sugar Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift flour and sugar, set aside. In a saucepan, bring the margarine, cocoa and water to a boil; remove from heat. In a large bowl, mix all remaining cake ingredients. Add the flour mixture and cocoa mixture, stirring well. Bake in a greased and floured 9x13" pan for 20 to 30 min. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Ten minutes into the baking of the cake, prepare the frosting. Place the margarine, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add the remaining ingredients. Watkins Pineapple Cake Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice 1 teaspoon Watkins baking soda 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1/2 teaspoon Watkins ground sea salt 3/4 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 teaspoon Watkins vanilla extract 1 teaspoon Watkins cinnamon Directions: 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 9x13 inch pan. 2 Mix the flour, baking soda,cinnamon, salt, and 1 1/2 cups of the white sugar together. Stir in the beaten eggs and the pineapple with juice and mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan. 3 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Pour Buttery Milk Syrup over top of cake while still warm. 4 To Make Buttery Milk Syrup: In a sauce pan combine the butter or margarine, evaporated milk, vanilla, and 1/2 cup white sugar. Bring mixture to a boil over medium high heat and cook for about 5 minutes. Pour over cake while still warm. Makes 1 -9x13 inch cake Enjoy!! "Watkins Lushious No Bake Cream Cheese Pie"

This pie is so creamy and very tasty, great for those summer BBQs with friends.

Ingredients:

1 cup confectioners sugar

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese 2 tsp Watkins Gourmet Banana Flavored Extract

1 (12 ounce) container nondairy whipped topping

3 bananas

1 cup chopped walnuts or almonds

2 graham cracker crusts (Chocolate or Vanilla)

Directions:

1 Slice bananas, and arrange on the bottom of each pie crust.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts on Bananas.

2 Mix confectioner's sugar, cream cheese, and Watkins

Banana Extract with nondairy whipped topping with

an electric mixer for about 2 minutes. Divide mixture

into pie shells.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts on top.

3 Chill in freezer for 2 hours, or leave in refrigerator

over night.Enjoy!!!

Makes 2 - 9 inch pies

NOTE: Any desired flavor of Watkins Extracts work

wonderfully with this yummy recipe, 27 to choose from.

Just substitute the fruit to match the flavoring,

if you use rum extract make it with no fruit,

just use the nuts in the rum version.

GARLIC AND UNION RICE: Cook rice like you normally do. Use the loose type. Not those that in the end look like porrige. Fry unions in a saucepan. Chopped the unions. Use a lot. Enough you can eat! Then add chopped garlic to the unions. Fry together. The smell would by now invite all your house guests and family closer to you. When you think its ready. Ussually its a light brown or deep yellow colour. Mixed with the cooked rice. Now, take a sip of you wine, and serve with prawns or fish of your choice!!

(Hold with a toothpick) Bake for 35 minutes in oven at 350 degrees. Let stand, draining grease, then place back in pan. Cover with mixed sauce. Chicken Marengo

6 skinless boneless chicken breast halves

1/4 cup butter

1 julienne green bell pepper 1 julienne onion

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1/2 cup whole black olives

2 chopped tomatoes

2 cups canned tomatoes

1/2 cup olive oil

1/2 teaspoon instant minced garlic

Flatten chicken and brown lightly in butter. Pour

off excess butter; add green pepper, onion,

olives, mushrooms and fresh tomatoes. In blender

mix canned tomatoes, olive oil and garlic;

season to taste. Pour over chicken

and simmer til chicken and vegetables

are tender.

EGGPLANT SUPREME

1 large eggplant

2 green peppers, diced

2 onions, diced

32-oz. jar spaghetti sauce

8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded

Slice eggplant into 1/4-inch slices. Parboil for 5 minutes. Drain and cool. Put layer of eggplant into 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Follow with layer of green peppers, onions, spaghetti sauce and cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese. Cover and b ake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Uncover and bake at 400 degrees for 1/2 hour.

Cauliflower Salad< p>Layer lettuce, cauliflower, onion, bacon and cheese in large bowl. Mix together jar of Miracle Whip and sugar. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Mix well. Put over lettuce mixture. Do not mix at this time. Let st and in refrigerator overnight or 1 hour. When ready to serve, toss well.
